i'm a cornish sound artist, performer, sound designer and live sound engineer based between london and cornwall. 

 

in 2023 i graduated from the mmus sonic arts degree at goldsmiths, university of london, having already graduated from ba(hons) creative music technology at falmouth university, cornwall, in 2016, which included a semester studying on the music composition: sound art degree pathway at gothenburg university, sweden. 

working mainly as a sound artist, i perform and produce works under the name yiskah and work within the realm of drone music, using field recordings and interactive & generative means of creation. i'm well versed in software programs such as max/msp, supercollider and logic pro. my performances and productions have been presented at the whitechapel gallery, kistefos museum, david mach's studio, AMP studios, matchstick piehouse (RIP), among others. 

as well as establishing myself as a sound artist and designer, i've been working as a live sound engineer since 2014, with a large array of shows under my belt. i have my own PA system and am available for freelance work. 

other projects i have on the go include being a band member in thee alcoholics, a zine, boulderdash, for enthusiasts of stones drones and noise, and a member and founder of south-east london-based artist collective, crossovers collective. i am a member of the outlands network. i've also been a session drummer and pianist in various small projects.
